CECSC brings together six Romanian research institutions spanning climatology, geography, sociology, economics and the humanities. Each partner leads a research programme and contributes to at least one other.
Coordinates the consortium and leads regional climate modelling, observations and projections (Programme P1).
Leads research on climate risks and sectoral impacts — agriculture, water, health and urban systems (Programme P2).
Runs the national panel on climate attitudes and behaviour, and studies public support for policy (Programme P3).
Analyses the economics of mitigation and adaptation, institutions and just-transition pathways (Programme P4).
Leads work on climate memory, environmental history and communication (Programme P5).
Hosts the shared data infrastructure and coordinates integrated scenarios for Romania 2050 (Programme P6).
The consortium is built so that every result crosses at least one institutional boundary — programmes are co-led across disciplines and hosted across partners.
